NAIDOC Week 4-11 July. It’s celebrated by Indigenous communities and Australians of all backgrounds. Get involved and support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and understand their culture.
This year's theme is 'Heal Country'. It invites us to embrace First Nations' cultural knowledge and understanding of Country as the traditional owners. It calls for us to equally respect the culture and values of Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islanders as they do the cultures and values of all Australians.
NAIDOC has been protecting and raising awareness of our First Nations people, sharing and celebrating their distinct cultural histories since 1920.
Australia is home to many different nationalities, so NAIDOC asks that all Australians continue to seek greater protections for our lands, waters, sacred sites, and cultural heritage from exploitation, desecration, and destruction. At our weekly art class we made some art to celebrate, our lovely clients had fun making these master pieces.
