My 19 yo daughter, Steph, has been attending the Purple Dream House for several months now. She loves it! Always ready to pack her bags for respite. This gives us both time out from each other and knowing she is in an environment that is safe, clean, welcoming with a clear flow of communication between her carers and myself gives me the reassurance I need.
The staff are helpful, happy, informed, they like each other, plus are enthusiastic. Nothing is too much trouble including incorporating her normal activities with her respite time when she is in their care. Activities are arranged for the busier periods or when there are a few onsite that include PT sessions, a trip to Australia Zoo plus her favourite, Sandgate for fish 'n chips and a walk along the boardwalk.
Steph has the same carers regulary thus giving her the security she requires. She has become one of the Purple Dream Houses family and it is like a home away from home. We have both been super impressed.

I like the staff. I like my pt sessions. I like cooking, watching movies, saying hello to the guinea pigs, feeding my guinea pigs, sleeping over, the staff is truly amazing, I enjoy going every Wednesday

I started using Purple Dream house as a respite facility for my son soon after they opened. We had recently moved across town and had previously been using two other respite houses over a period of about 6 years. A paragraph of words cannot do justice to the difference in standards. Previously, As a single mother with no family support, I was never really able to have time off and relax while my son was in respite, due to constant issues with his safety and possessions , not to mention that I would have to drag him there as he didn’t want to go.
My son loves purple dream house, and they treat him like family. The staff are all so professional and efficient, whilst at the same time friendly and caring. It feels like a second home. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
